Obituary for Bill S. VanWey Bill S. VanWey, 86, of Vincennes, In passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born August 26, 1928 in Vincennes the son of Henry T. and Eva Sexson Van Wey. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and he served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He married Thelma Fox on May 26, 1951 and they made their life together for nearly 63 years. He retired from the Security Bank and Trust/ Old National Bank, Heights� Finance Co and was a funeral assistant at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. He formerly was a member of the Eagles and Optimist Clubs. He was a member of Southside Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Thelma VanWey, their son, Kent VanWey of Vincennes, his grandchildren, Vance VanWey, Aaron VanWey, Shawna VanWey and Sarah Covarrubias. Great grandchildren, Cooper VanWey, Hudson VanWey, Keily VanWey-Salinas, Bailey VanWey-Salinas, Ivy VanWey-Salinas, Zoey VanWey-Salinas and Isabella Covarrubias. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kay VanWey and his parents. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday April 12, 2014 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Capt. Rev. Scott Rasico, U.S. Army Rtd officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM.
