Charlene Lory, 79, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Saturday January 11, 2025 at 2:45 AM with her family at her bedside. Charlene was born January 28, 1945 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Ralph E. and Virginia Fleming Whaley. She was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and worked in food service at Vincennes University. On May 23, 1964, she married David L. Lory and they made their life together for over 60 years. She was a member of 1st Christian Church, former member of VFW and American Legion Auxiliary's. She enjoyed fishing, Bowling and being a member of the former CB club. She always looked to her Sunday fried chicken dinners and was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.

Charlene is survived by her husband, David L. Lory, their son, DJ Lory of Vincennes, IN, a sister, Margery Bilskie and her husband Don of Vincennes, IN. She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dr. Richard Whaley DDS.

Services will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the donor's charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Charlene's family during their time of loss.
