Connie L. Carie, 80, of Bicknell, IN, passed away March 14, 2026 at her home with her family at her bedside. Connie was born August 17, 1945 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of James H. and Rosie D. Laslie Farrar. She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School and on August 5, 1967 she married Ambrose Carie and they made their life together for nearly 59 years. Connie formerly worked at Crestview Nursing Home and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Ambrose Carie, their children, Susan Clark of Princeton, IN, Amy L. (Eric) Mitchell of Pensacola, FL and Lisa (Robert) Stokes of Bicknell. Their grandchildren, Taylor Clark, Brandon Clark, Kelsey Clark, Matthew Stokes and Amber Stokes. Great grandchildren, Amelia Donohoo, Grayson Feightner, Hudson Feightner, Kenny Waggoner, Sullivan Brown and she was expecting a granddaughter, Sylvia Waggoner. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Jim Farrar of Bicknell, IN, Tom (Annette) Farrar of St. Francisville, IL, Mike (Cheryl) Farrar of Olney, IL, Alice (Ray) Hooten of Bicknell, IN and Tina (Clay) Atkins of Sumner, IL.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jerry Farrar and 2 sisters, Linda Farrar and Laura Enochs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in her memory. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist the Carie family during their time of loss.
