Dale E. Perry, 83, of Bruceville, IN, passed away Thursday at 11:15 PM at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. Dale was born March 10, 1941 in Vincennes the son of Clarence E. Jr and Opal D. Ragle Perry. He was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School and he enjoyed his career as a farmer and trucking business owner/operator. He would custom bail hay for various other farmers and had a seed and feed operation. He owned Perry trucking who mainly hauled coal. He married Laura E. Hedge on June 19, 1987 and they made their life together for nearly 37 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.
Dale is survived by his wife, Laura E. Perry, a son, Mark (Lisa) Perry of Bruceville, IN, a daughter, Annette (Steve) McCammon of Sullivan, IN and a stepson, Jeremy (Lora) Conrad of Holbrook, AZ. His grandchildren, Brooke (Jason) Mullins, Dustin (Alaina) Perry, Bonnie (Isaac) Phares, Boyd McCammon, Nathan (Jenny) Perry, Payton Perry, Austin (Miranda) Conrad, Nash Conrad, Damian Conrad, Jermain Conrad, William Conrad and Kiari Conrad. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Perry, a step son, William J. Conrad, a granddaughter, Nakela Perry and his parents.
Funeral services will be celebrated Friday October 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donors' charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Dale's family during their time of loss.
