Obituary for Daniel L. Wood Sr. Daniel L. Wood Sr., 76, of Emison, IN, passed away June 13, 2021 at his residence. Daniel was born April 25, 1945 in Vincennes, IN the son of James L. and Lula Mae Pickett Wood. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and on September 12, 1962 he married Janie M. Anthis and they made their life together for 58 years. He worked for many years for H & H Plumbing as a driller for water wells. He attended Wheatland Christian Church and was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Daniel is survived by his children, Joyce Ramirez, and her companion Jim Knox of Emison, IN, Daniel L Wood Jr., and his wife Cindy of Vincennes, IN, and Kevin D. Wood, and his wife Marla of Bridgeport, IL. Their grandchildren, Dustin Evans, Terri Jimenez, Daniel Bennett, Kyle Bennett, Maria DeLong, Tiffany Wagler, Nathan Wood and 20 great grandchildren. His brothers and sisters, Steve Wood, and his wife Jan of Vincennes, Jim Wood of Vincennes, Leo Wood, and his companion Bobbie Smith of Vincennes, Ethel Clark, and her husband Don of Newport, TN, Nina Rae Baetke, and her husband Dale of Des Moines, IA and Brenda Blaize of Sebring, FL. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Janie M. Wood, his parents, James L. and Lula M Wood his brother, Ben Wood and a sister, Betty Hensley. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday June 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Collin Mattingly officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
