Debbie G. Keene, 72, of Ragsdale, IN, passed away Saturday September 19, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with her family at her bedside. Debbie was born July 29, 1954 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Robert and Helen Helderman Jackson. She was a graduate of North Knox High School and graduated from Vincennes Business College. She worked for over 30 years at the Vincennes Sun Commercial where she was a composition editor and a member of the union. She was married to Roy Keene on March 25, 1977 and they made their life together for 49 years until his death on June 13, 2026. Debbie was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and the Francis Vigo Chapter of the DAR.

Debbie is survived by a daughter, Elena R. Keene, a sister Vickie Melvin of Vincennes and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, her parents and a brother, Robert Eugene Jackson in infancy.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday September 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Pierre Zephyr and Pastor Darrell Weaver officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Asbury Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Asbury Chapel Church in her memory. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist the Keene family during their time of loss.
