Donna Susanne Almy, age 86 of Vincennes, IN passed away on August 28, 2026 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart, IN. Donna was born on August 20, 1940 to Henry and Catherine Kroeger in Vincennes, IN. She married Freddie Joe Almy on September 4, 1965 in Vincennes, and they made their life together for over 53 years, until his passing on October 12, 2018. Donna graduated from Lincoln High School and she worked for several years at Hamilton Glass. She loved to debate and it did not matter about the topic. She enjoyed watching soap operas, and keeping her mind sharp by doing puzzles, watching the game network, playing board games, and dice games, especially Bunco. She also enjoyed the quietness of coloring. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
Donna is survived by her children, Jeff Almy (Cara) of Spokane, WA and Penny (Warren) Seegers of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Derek (Shaleena) Almy, Brandi Eskildsen, Jory Seegers, Diamond Kelly, Charles (Erika) Almy, Brent (Allie) Almy, Gwenivere Seegers, Coy (Joey) Seegers, and Zane Seegers and great grandchildren Bristol, Jack, Julian and Jaylanie as well as her siblings, Phyllis (Eugene) Grothaus, Bernie (Judy) Kroeger.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Almy, daughter Stacy Lynn Williams, her parents and her siblings Wilma Thorne, Henry "Hank" Kroeger, Jr., Marietta Belcher and Marjorie "Margie" Dasch.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on October 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Rivet Athletic Dept in her memory. The family will receive friends after 9:00 AM at the church. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Donna’s family during their time of loss.
