Dorothy L. Bedwell, 83, of Newburgh, IN passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022 at Newburgh Healthcare. She was born February 19, 1939 in Crivitz, WI the daughter of William and Lucille Froeble Stoneburner. She married Claude F. Bedwell on November 15, 1963 and they made their life together for 58 years until his death on January 28, 2021. Dorothy worked as a claims secretary for State Farm Insurance and held memberships in the Mothers of Twins Club, Alpha Beta Phi, National Quilting Assn and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and a Committee Member for Boy Scout Troop 132.   She is survived by children, Doyle C. Bedwell, and his wife Karie of Newburgh, IN, Steven W. Bedwell, and his wife Sheila of LaVernia, TX, Scott E. Bedwell, and his wife Julie of Columbia, MD and step daughter,  Angie Sue Bedwell of Maui, HI. Grandchildren Claude Bedwell, Fae Bedwell, Morgan Bedwell, Thomas Bedwell, Tony Green and Edith Green. Dorothy is also survived by her brother and sisters, William Stoneburner, and his wife Carolyn of Springfield, Oregon, Doris Myers of Springfield Oregon, Edna Jones, and her husband Dick of Vancouver, Washington, Ila Sanders of Bangor, Maine and Kitty Bolls of Springfield, Oregon. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, her parents and two sisters, Mona Parmenter and Pearl DeLorme. A Celebration of her Life will be held on March 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home where a service will held at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Sanborn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
