Obit for Dorothy Eileen McCune

Dorothy Eileen McCune, 98, of Vincennes, passed away December 25, 2025 at Gentle Care Nursing Center at 1:20 PM. Dorothy was born December 3, 1927 in Knox County the daughter of Benjamin Cleatus and Pearl Opal Thompson Beamon. She was a high school graduate and worked for over 32 years at Osage Woodworking. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Larry (Patricia) Twitty of Vincennes, 4 grandchildren, a sister, June Carr of Fairfield, IL, and a nephew, who took care of her, Dale (Sherry) Beamon of Monroe City, IN.

Dorothy was preceded in death by 2 son's, Luke Twitty and Lee Twitty, 2 grandchildren, her parents, 4 brothers, Frank, Harry, Paul and Dale Beamon and 3 sisters, Irma, Betty and Donna.

Services will be private. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the McCune family during their time of loss.
