Obituary for Dorothy I. White Dorothy I. White, 78, of Bicknell, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2018. Dorothy was born November 15, 1939 in the home where she raised her family. The daughter of George K. and Julia I. Hooten Crouse. She was a 1957 graduate of Bicknell High School and on July 12, 1963 she married William H. White and they began their life together until his death on May 27, 1993. She was a Christian in her life's journey. She formerly was employed at Gossard's, and Hermetic Coil until her retirement. Dorothy was a life member of the French Club Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her children, Will White (Angela) of Highland, IL, George White of Bicknell, IN, Lori Marczak (Alan Hedley) of Bicknell, IN and Lisa Vendes (Mike Lewis) of Washington, IN. Her beloved grandchildren, Will White, Trevor White, Logan White, Chase Marczak, Jay Vendes, Jarek Vendes and Delaney Lewis. She is also survived by a brother, Charles T. Crouse (Melissa) of Sullivan, IN and her extended family of nieces, nephews and many cousins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William H. White, Her parents and a brother George "Kenny" Crouse. Funeral services will celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Jon McKinnon officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, Bicknell Social Ministries or to the donor's charity of choice.
