Earl P. Theriac, 87, of Decker, IN, passed away Sunday July 14, 2024 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Earl was born March 8, 1937 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Ed Theriac and Gladys Killion Deely. He was a graduate of Decker High School and received an AS degree at Vincennes University. He worked as a machinist for Johnson Control for over 40 years, he worked at Vincennes Industrial and was a valet at the Good Samaritan Hospital for over 24 years. He married Linda Thompson and they made their life together for 68 years. He held membership at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Knox County Coon Hunters Club, a former secretary for Local 823 of the UAW union, trained tracker dogs and built dog houses for the other hunters. He enjoyed playing his guitar, watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Indianapolis Colt's football and anything that involved his family.
Earl is survived by his wife, Linda Theriac, their children, Debbie Theriac of Vincennes, Derek (Jim Spain) Theriac of Indianapolis, IN and Jason (Kim) Theriac of Terre Haute, IN. He is also survived by his brothers, Grant Theriac of Oaktown, IN, Roy (Linda) Theriac of Decker, IN, sisters, Bonnie Phegley of Carlisle, IN, Flossie Moore of Anderson, IN and Elizabeth Theriac of Lawrenceville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Willis Theriac, Bill Theriac, Guy Theriac, Andrew Theriac and Ira Theriac.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday July 19, 2024 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Pastor Nathan Rastl officiating. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Vincennes Pet Port in his memory. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Theriac family during their time of loss.
