Ervin L. Shepard Jr. 68, of Vincennes, IN passed away September 15, 2026 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Ervin was born February 21, 1958 in Vincennes the son of Ervin L. Sr. and Viola Arthur Shepard. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and worked at Risley Furniture, Design, and Perdue. He formerly was a member of a rock and roll band as well as played for his church functions. An avid BEATLES fan, he collected every Beatles record in both the US versions as well as the British versions. He enjoyed playing any type of music with his guitar. He married Diane Sellars and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2026.

Ervin is survived by his children, Jennifer D. Shepard, Jonathan R. (Marylin) Shepard, Amy Edwards and Keith Edwards. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Evelyn Pearl Shepard and Bright Eyes Nichole Mermond and a sister, Jodetta Allen.

Funeral services will be held on September 25, 2026 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Diane in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery, IN privately. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the humane society in his memory.
