Obituary for Gary D. Abel Gary D. Abel, former Vincennes resident, passed away on Friday October 25, 2019 at 5:33 PM in Chillicothe, OH. He was born December 11, 1952 in Vincennes the son of Charles C. and Vada E. Robinson Abel. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and served his country during the Vietnam War in the U. S. Army. Gary is survived by a daughter, Astra Whistle of Tell City, IN, his brothers and sisters, Lisa Alton of Monroe City, IN, Donald (Esther) Abel, David (Heidi) Abel both of Vincennes, Lori Buzan of Evansville, IN and Linda (Chris) Holscher of Vincennes, IN. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering will be held on Tuesday November 19, 2019 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with a service to be held at 1:00 PM and Fr. Dennis Latta will officiate. He will be interred in the Veteran Memorial Section at Memorial Park Cemetery. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to serve the Abel family during their time of loss.
