Gary E. Lewis Sr. 68 of Vincennes, passed away Sunday July 14, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital with his family at his bedside. Gary was born April 1, 1956 in Modesto, CA the son of Calvin Lewis and Wanda Lee Burton Towns. He graduated high school and began a career as a long haul truck driver. He married Desiree Benjamin on October 27, 1989 and they made their life together for nearly 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and anything to do with family.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Lewis, children, Melissa (Stephen) Fazzio of Lakeland, FL, Gary (Tracey) Lewis Jr of Washington, IN, Brian Parish and Brandon Parish both of Vincennes, IN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother, Lester Towns of Bellingham, WA, and a sister, Glenda Jurasin of Placerville, CA.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Calvin Lewis Jr, and two sisters, Pamela Towns and Sherry Hooten.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Gary's family during their time of loss.
