Obituary for Gladys E. Hale Gladys E. Hayes Hale of Carlisle, Indiana, died March 1, 2015. Born November 9, 1921 in New Goshen, Indiana to George and Frances Martin Hayes. Preceded in death by husband George Hale and brother George Hayes. Survivors include two sons - George Hale, Jr. and wife Kyleen of Columbus, Ohio and Rodney Hale and friend Angie Crabb of Carlisle, sister-in-law Maxine Hayes of Franklin, Indiana, a niece, Linda Vertrees and a nephew, George Stephen Hayes. She graduated from New Goshen High School and Indiana State University. She taught for 20 years in Carlisle schools. She was a member of Indiana State Retired Teachers and Sullivan Retired Teachers. Attended Carlisle United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice, Vincennes, IN through the funeral home. At her request there will be no visitation and private burial. Arrangements were entrusted to Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home , Vincennes, IN.
