Obituary for Howard A. Hill Howard A. Hill, 77, passed away September 28, 2019. He was born on July 1, 1942 in Wheatland IN, the son of Ivan and Helen Haynes Hill. He graduated from Midland High School in 1961. He was a Vietnam War veteran and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from the GM bus and truck division in 1992. He is survived by his children Daniel Hill and his wife Ann of Vincennes and Michelle Kuykendall of Indianapolis, IN. His step-children Sis Harrell, of Plainfield, IN and Robert Nicholas of Indianapolis, IN. His grandchildren Danielle Hill, Brittany Snider, Ashley Marshall, Amber Leal, Nicholas Hill, and Marty McMahan, and 8 great-grandchildren. His brother Herbert Hill of Mooresville, IN and a sister, Peggy Palmer of Indianapolis, IN also survives. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary-Lou Steel Hill. His parents, a son Randy Jo Hill, a step-son Wade Nicholas, a brother Robert Hill and a sister Sona Hill. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday October 5, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 at the Funeral Home. Memorial contirbutions can be made in his memory to the Knox County Humane Society.
