Jack T. Knotts, 71, of Vincennes, passed away Monday September 2, 2024 at Aperion Care/Willow Manor with his family at his bedside. Jack was born May 4, 1953 in Los Angles, CA the son of Robert E. and Gertrude Morgan Knotts. He graduated high school and worked for many years as a flooring installer for various flooring companies here in Vincennes. He married Tyra D. Miles on August 13, 1992 and they made their life together for 35 years until her death on October 7, 2019. His interests were varied but he has a passion against PURDUE, an avid Ram's Fan, he enjoyed various types of music, from Chantilly Lace to Pink Floyd. He embraced his fate with dignity and honor. He would sing Chantilly Lace and thought it was an award winning performance (contrary to what Tyra may have thought). He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Jack is survived by his children, Wendy Miles, Sandy Knotts, Brad Ford and Ben Ford, all of Vincennes, IN. Grandchildren, Brant Bilskie, Trevor Bilskie, Dusty Bilskie, Brooklyn Stevenson, Reece Ford, Raygen Ford, Halle Ford, Cash Ford, Mia Ford, Ocean Ford, Shaleigh Followell, River Followell and a great grand child, Kambrie Bilskie. He is also survived by brother, Michael Knotts of Owensboro, KY and a sister, Janice (Lewis) Bailey of Indianapolis, IN.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Tyra Knotts, his parents, Robert E. and Gertrude Knotts, his brothers, Sonny Flanagan, Dennis Knotts, Jerry Knotts and Jimmy Knotts.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday September 8, 2024 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a service at 4:00 PM officiated by T.J. Sutton. He will be laid to rest with his wife at a private service. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the donor's charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral honored to assist Jack's family during their time of loss.
