Obit for James H. Everett

James H. Everett, 86, of Bicknell, passed away June 5, 2026 at 1:40 AM at the Freelandville Community Home with his sister at his bedside. James was born January 12, 1940 in Bicknell, IN the son of Luther and Henrietta Mix Everett. James graduated Bicknell High School and worked at various farms in the area. He enjoyed the art of farming. He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia, IN and he lived his Christian faith by doing for others.

His is survived by a sister, Martha Everett and several nieces and nephews.

A gravesite service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday June 8, 2026 at Edwardsport Town Cemetery with Rev. Rhonda Haynes officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his family. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Salem United Church of Christ. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist the Everett family during their time of loss.
