Obituary for James L. Ruppel James L. Ruppel, 80, of Vincennes passed away Friday August 2, 2019 at the Lodge of the Wabash, Nursing Center. Jim was born December 9, 1938 in Vincennes the son of Lawrence P. and Annis B. Carie Ruppel. He was a truck driver having driven for Schneider Trucking and T&M Trucking. He was baptized in the catholic faith and he enjoyed bluegrass music and playing the banjo. He is survived by his children, Kelley West of Vincennes, IN, Matt Ruppel, and his wife Christine of Vincennes and a Step daughter, Dawn Abel of Vincennes, IN. and 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Ronnie Ruppel and his wife Mary Jo of Stendal, IN, Mike Ruppel, and his wife Angel of Linton, IN, Barb Lindsey of Vincennes, IN, Patricia "Pat" Elkins of Vincennes, IN and Nancy Carter of Paragon, IN. Jim was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Mc Carter, his parents, Lawrence and Annis Ruppel, 2 brothers, Bill Ruppel, Thomas J. Ruppel and 2 sisters, Rosemary Cardinal and Geraldine "Gerry" Westfall. Burial will be private. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Ruppel family during their time of loss.
