Taylor Jr.
December 18, 1948 – March 20, 2025
James E. Taylor Jr., 76, passed away at his home March 20, 2025. Jim was born December 18, 1948 in Hazard, KY the son of James E. Sr. and Dorothy Jean Canada Taylor at an early age his parents divorced and James Sr. married Lorraine Everidge and moved to Vincennes . He was a Lincoln high school graduate and began his working career. He worked as a route sales representative for Jay's and Grippo potato chips servicing various stores in the area. He married M. Ann Bailey on June 22, 1968 and they made their life together for nearly 57 years. Jim held memberships in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, coached baseball and served as Vice President of the Little League Baseball.
He is survived by his wife, M. Ann Taylor, their children, James E. (Susan) Taylor III of Franklin, IN and Jennifer Ann Taylor of Vincennes, IN. Grandchildren, Jeramy (Malia) Lucas, Jonathan (Ashley) Lucas, Brittany (Cody) Trueblood, Ryan Taylor and Cody Taylor. Great grandchildren, Brooklynn Trueblood, Cayden Trueblood, Braelynn Trueblood, Emmalynn Trueblood, Jaelynn Trueblood, Keaton Lucas, Elijah Lucas, Courtland Keeler, Chanlee Lucas, and Taytum Lucas. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Rick Taylor of Vincennes, Steve Taylor of Vincennes, Yvonne Taylor of Vincennes, Ronnie Fields of Newport KY and Annette Snapp of Vincennes.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his step mother, Lorene Everidge Taylor, his brothers, Jeff Taylor, Tom Taylor, Charles "Red" Fields and his sisters Lisa Taylor, Lola Lee and Lynn Morton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday March 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Duesterberg- Fredrick Funeral Home in Vincennes. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Little League Baseball.
