Jerry Lee Neighbors, 81, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Sunday October 30, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. Jerry was born January 8, 1941 in Vincennes the son of Clarence O. and Gladys Lockhart Neighbors. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and worked for the CSX Railroad, formerly the B&O as a track foreman. He was formerly married to Vicki Speth Neighbors.
Jerry is survived by a son, Bryan Lee Neighbors, and his wife Amy of Eldon, MO, a daughter in law, Wendy Neighbors of Vincennes, IN. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jason Matthew Neighbors, Nichole Lynn Neighbors, Adam Lee Neighbors, Alysa Michelle DeGraffenreid, his great grandchildren, Layten Randall Neighbors and Kaden Daniel Neighbors, his brothers, David Neighbors, and his wife Bonnie, Dale "Ricky" Neighbors, and his wife Brenda and Rex Neighbors all of Vincennes, IN and a sister, Debbie Fossmeyer, and her husband Rodney of Lake Lawrence, IL.
Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Jason R. Neighbors, his parents, Clarence and Gladys Neighbors, brothers, Bud Neighbors, Claude Neighbors, Bill Neighbors and Joe Neighbors. His sisters, Shirley Merriman, Yvonne Neighbors and Mildred Neighbors in infancy.
Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday November 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Kathie Eads officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his son, Jason in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and prior to the services on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donor's charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick is honored to assist the Neighbors family during their time of loss.
