Obituary for John W. Scarber John W. Scarber, 70, of Bicknell, IN, passed away at his home August 15, 2019 with his family at his bedside. John was born August 17, 1948 in Milan, IN the son of John Henry and Norma Jean Whiteford Scarber. He was a certified diesel mechanic and a truck driver for Gibco Trucking for over 20 years. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968 to 1972, He formerly held membership in the Masonic Lodge and Moose Lodge. He married Helen L. Emmons on June 6, 1981 and they made their life together for 38 years. John is survived by his wife, Helen L. Scarber, children, Robert Hiser of Lawrenceburg, IN, Nannette Foster of Batesville, IN and James Emmons of Bicknell, IN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kersandra Scarber, his parents and a brother Christopher Scarber. Memorial contributions can be made in John's memory to the Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warriors.
