Johnny W. Collins, 77, of Lawrenceville, IL formerly of Vincennes passed away Sunday October 15, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Johnny was born July 26, 1946 in Weiner, Arkansas. He was a self-employed mechanic and he married Rebecca Faye Cook and they made their life together until her death on February 8, 2009. He practiced his strong Christian faith in his everyday dealings and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Johnny is survived by his children: daughters, Lila Howell of Vincennes, IN, Jenny Clark and her husband Greg of Wheatland, IN, Johnnie Collins of Lawrenceville, IL, Susan Mason and her husband Brian of Indianapolis, IN and son Robert D. Collins of Lawrenceville, IL. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Faye Collins, his mother, Alta Ethel VanHooser and a brother.

Memorial Gathering to Celebrate his Life will be held Friday October 27, 2023 at 106 W. Main St. Wheatland, IN at 6:30 PM.
