Judy Ann Badger, 65, of Vincennes, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital with her husband, children and friends at her bedside. Judy was born December 20, 1957 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Robert E. and Betty Ann O'Dell Thuis. Judy was a graduate of North Knox High School and a member of the Catholic faith. She married Scott Badger and they owned Elite Staffing LLC in Vincennes. She enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband, Bunco, a passionate animal lover, especially cats and horses. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, traveling and working in the yard. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and loved them unconditionally. She formerly was the cheer coach at South Knox High School for over 10 years and loved any kind of mystery in a book or on TV.
Judy is survived by her husband, Scott Badger, her children, Michael Stangle, and his wife Tylee of Vincennes, IN and Julie Toothman, and her husband Matthew of Vincennes, IN. Her beloved grandchildren, Vaida Ann Toothman, Leo Robert Stangle, Annlee Rose Stangle and Anders Owen Toothman. She is also survived by a brother, Robert Thuis, and his wife Melody of Linton, IN and a sister, Sandra Yenne, and her husband Bill of Bicknell. IN. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Betty Ann Thuis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Blythe Chapel Cemetery in Owensville; IN. at 2:00 PM EST after the family has a bereavement meal after the mass.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday April 21, 2023 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Knox County Humane Society. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Judy's family during their time of loss.
