Kent Bradley Patton, 72, formerly of Bicknell, passed away November 16, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN with his family holding his hand. Kent was born March 9, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Raymond and Barbara Wampler Patton. After graduation from high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war and was a member of VFW 1587 and American Legion Post 64 in Indianapolis, IN. He began a career as a mechanic, specializing in forklift repair and he owned Speedy Lift Co. for many years and retired due to illness. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters, Penny (James) Beauchamp and Orlena Patton-Warfield both of Indianapolis, IN. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael Patton and Vance Patton in infancy.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating, at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell, IN. He will be laid to rest in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery next to his parents. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to any charity for the care of dogs or animals. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Kent's family during their time of loss.
