Lara Lynn (Clay) Sampson, 42, of Vincennes, passed away May 18, 2024 at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD., with her family at her bedside. Lara was born April 28, 1982 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Paul and Lynn Clay. She was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School and continued her education receiving a master's degree in Nursing. She was a registered nurse and a devoted wife, mother and sister. She married Matthew Sampson on January 24, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Matt Sampson, their children, Jeffrey Seibert of Bloomington, IN, Kaylin Seibert of Evansville, IN, Kaitlynn Sampson, Madison Sampson, Hunter Sampson, Kolton Sampson and Mason Sampson all of Vincennes, IN. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Barbara Woodard of Sullivan, IN, her brothers and sister, Paul Clay of Orlando, FL, Dave Clay of Terre Haute, IN, Jeff Clay of Terre Haute, IN and Lona Snodey of Terre Haute, IN.

Lara was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lynn Clay.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday June 29, 2024 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a service to start at 3:00 PM. Fr. Tony Ernst will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
