Obituary for Lillian M. South Lillian M. South, 81, of Vincennes, passed away at Bridge Pointe Nursing Center Friday June 15, 2012 at 7:30 PM. She was born June 5, 1931 in Vincennes the daughter of Cleo & Iva Leota Hunley Bateman. She was a graduate of Oaktown H.S. and worked as a waitress/bartender in Oaktown and various restaurants in the area. She is survived by her daughter, Micki Jo Byers a grandson, Chad Michael Byers of Vincennes, a brother, Cleo Bateman Jr, and his wife Marilyn of Vincennes and an aunt, Marge Hunley of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Judy Doudt, Trish Parker, Pam Steininger, Michele Traversone and James Jobe. Several Great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Helen Jobe and Mary Fern Bateman. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Monday June 18, 2012 at Thursday Church with Pastor Debbie Salters officiating. The family and friends will gather at the church prior to the services.
