Mark Alan Menke, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home in Bicknell. Mark was born in Harrisburg, PA on June 4, 1956. Mark lived in Bicknell nearly his entire life. He loved going to all the local parades and festivals, always with his old video camera in tow. He especially loved and looked forward to the Knox County Fair and extended family reunions.

Although he was shy in his early years, Mark blossomed as an older adult. He seldom met a stranger he wouldn't engage in conversation. His favorite topics were wrestling, Captain Kangaroo, Cowboy Bob, and his beloved Sammy Terry. It never mattered to him if you were familiar with the subject or not.

Mark is survived by a brother, Michael (Judy) Menke of Bruceville; a sister, Melaina (Christopher) Ripley of Valparaiso; a niece, Tabitha (Gabriel) Fleener of Bicknell; a nephew, Kyle Menke of Vincennes; and nieces, Melissa and Michelle Menke and nephew, Mitchell Menke all of Berlin, Germany. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Menke; his father, Ronald Menke; a brother, Mitchell Menke; and a nephew, Ryan Menke.

No service is planned. Mark's arrangements are through Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel. He will be interred at Bicknell Memorial Cemetery next to his mother.
