Martha Christine "Chris" Mathies Fahey, 64, passed away October 24, 2024 at home in Bicknell, IN, surrounded by her family and friends. Chris was born May 14, 1960, in Huntingburg, IN, the daughter of Richard Mathies and Frances Sanders Mathies McNeeley. She was a graduate of Southridge High School and worked at Perdue Farms and Freelandville Community Home. She and her companion, Steve Page, made their life together for over 35 years. She was a devoted companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Chris is survived by her companion, Steve Page, children, Misty Mathies, Jennifer Mathies, Penny Cutsinger, and Brett Page, all of Bicknell, IN. 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters, Jeff Mathies of Vincennes, IN, Bryan Mathies of Bicknell, IN, Vickie (Rick) Thompson of Bicknell, IN, Susie (Jamie) Arthur of Bicknell, IN, Brenda Mathies of Bicknell, IN, Donetta (Tim) Hook of Fairborn, OH, Tammy Grindstaff of Prescott, AZ and Carla White of Vincennes, IN.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Walls, her parents, her brothers, Allen Mathies and Stevie Mathies in infancy.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jon McKinnon officiating at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in the Fairmont Cemetery in Huntingburg, IN at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Chris' family during their time of loss.
