Martha Lou Cunningham Hobbs passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 96. Martha Lou Cunningham was born on January 17, 1929, to Myles Hamilton and Elnora Rout Cunningham in Vincennes, Indiana. Martha Lou is a graduate of Lincoln High School 1946. Martha was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Good Samaritan Nursing School 1949, and received an associate degree in nursing from Vincennes University. November 25, 1950, Martha Lou Cunningham married William Thomas Hobbs of Vincennes. They were both lifetime members of the First Christian Church, where they were married. They moved from Vincennes to Brea, California in 1955. Upon retirement, they returned to Indiana where they built their forever home in Oaktown, Indiana.  They had four children.

Martha Lou is survived by her children Karen Hobbs Beisler (Peter), North Port, Florida; William Paul Hobbs (Nikki), Oaktown, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death are her husband of 55 years, William Thomas Hobbs, a son Thomas Myles Hobbs (1958), son, Michael Robert Hobbs (2010), a grandson, Alex Peter Beisler (2020), and two great granddaughters, Sadie Catherine (2005) and Rilee Michelle (2021). Martha's parents, Myles and Elnora Cunningham, and her two older brothers have preceded her, Myles Eldon "Mike" Cunningham, Vincennes, Indiana and Robert Gene Cunningham, Newburgh, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Shick officiating. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorial Contributions can ber made in her memory to Good Samaritian Hospice.
