Lois J. Wampler, 92, of Bicknell, IN, passed away Wednesday April 1, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Lois was born July 12, 1927 in Freelandville, IN, the daughter of Glessie and Amelia Held Carrico. She was a graduate of Freelandville High School and was a lifelong member of Bethel Church. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Freelandville Nursing Home. She was an active volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Paul Ed Carrico, and his wife Mary Joan of Worthington, IN, Kim Wampler, and his wife Carol of Westphalia, IN, Rita Hennette, and her husband Mike of Linton, IN, and Bonnie Brown, and her husband Bruce of Vincennes, IN. She was also blessed with several great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Max Carrico and 2 sisters, Ruth “Ruthie” Wampler and a sister in infancy Alice Carrico.
Private gravesite services will be held and she will be buried in Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Lois’s family during their time of loss.
