Obituary for Anna M. �Alton� Houck Anna M. �Alton� Houck, 88, of Vincennes passed away Monday January 16, 2012 at 10:40 AM at the New Willow Nursing Center. She was born November 25, 1923 in Vincennes the daughter of Ernest & Lottie Brown Alton. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, she retired from Knox County REMC after over 25 years, and during WW II, she worked at the parachute factory in Washington, IN. She was married to Ray E. Houck and they made their life together for over 60 years. She was born and raised in Catholic faith. She loved raising cats as they became members of her family. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and she would give anyone who asked help getting their flower garden started. At 8:00 PM on Monday evening she was joined by her husband who passed away at the New Willow Manor Nursing Center. She is survived by her husband, Ray E. Houck, her sisters, Rita Taylor of Vincennes and Betty J. Halter of Vincennes. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Alton and Charles Alton, sisters, Jane Klacking, Marge Shots and Mary Dile. Joint Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. David Fleck officiating. She will be laid to rest along with her husband in the Memorial Park cemetery. The family receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Thursday and prior to the services.
