Obituary for Ralph G. Bouvy Sr. Ralph G. Bouvy Sr., 78, of Vincennes passed away Wednesday March 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born July 21, 1936 in Vincennes the son of Louis J. and Theresa Stangle Bouvy. He was a graduate of Central Catholic, Vincennes University and attended Purdue University. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps having attained the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed at Quantico, VA, Okinawa, Japan and was also stationed in Korea and South America. He was an expert marksman while he was in the Marine Corps. He was a lifetime member of St. John Catholic Church, lifetime member of the K of C, held memberships in the American Legion, 40 et 8, and the National Marine Corp detachment, Quantico, VA. He formerly was a member of St. John Church Council and served as it�s president. He was active in the PTA, coached baseball and worked as an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance. He formerly worked at Hamilton Glass Corp and Prestolite Battery. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, carpentry, he was a coin collector and dealer and assisted residents at Willow Manor. He is survived by his son�s, John L. Bouvy, and his wife Tracy of Vincennes, Ralph G. Bouvy Jr, and his wife Michelle of Plano TX and Michael Bouvy of Washougal, WA. Three step children, Cindy Goodman, and her husband Tom of Vincennes, Ronald Liston, and his wife Amberly of Oaktown, IN and Debra Liston of Evansville, IN. Grandchildren, Brittney Bouvy, A.J. Bouvy, Greg Bouvy, Curtis Bouvy, David Lhotka, McKaide Lhotka, Paige Liston, Regan Liston, Connor Liston and Trig Liston. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen Brown of Robinson, IL, Jane Quarterman of Phoenix, AZ and Phyllis Morgan of Vincennes, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ann Yochum Liston Bouvy, his parents, two brothers, Earl Bouvy and Paul Bouvy, six sisters, Sister Mary Jude OSB, Ethel Hering, Dorothy Williams, Edith Williams, Lillian Spillman and Eunice Bouvy. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to his wife, Helen where gravesite military honors will be provided by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Monday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
