Obituary for Dueal W. �Bud� Starnes Dueal W. �Bud� Starnes, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 at his residence with his family at his bedside. He was born July 24, 1931 in Senath, MO the son of Dewey and Annie Owens Starnes. He was a graduate of Homerville High School where he ran track and was known as Speedie. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he attained the rank of Staff Sgt. He married Lorene Clark on June 12, 1954 and they made their life together for over 61 years. He graduated from Sikeston Tool and Die school where he became a tool and die maker and Hydraulic Systems. He retired from Graham Hydraulic in Washington, IN. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. An avid gardener where he always had a large garden where he shared his produce with anyone that may want it. He was the life of any party where he enjoyed telling jokes and having a great time. He attended Thursday Church where he enjoyed the message and the music. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer�s disease where it took the vibrant life from him. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorene Starnes, their sons, David Wayne Starnes and his wife Barbara of Vincennes, John Michael Starnes, and his wife April of Spencer, IN, his grandchildren, Patrick Starnes, Christian Starnes and his fianc�e Payton McCoy, David Starnes II, Mallory Stanczak, and her husband James, Ellie Reagan, Emily Reagan and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Jean Starnes. He is also survived by a brother, Dewey Thomas Starnes of Little Rock, AK. A sister in law, Sue Starnes of Vincennes, brother in laws, Doyn Williams of Fredericktown, MO, Malcomb Sullivan of Denver, CO and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Will Starnes, 3 sisters, Bessie Williams, Joyce Sullivan and Joann Seaton. Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Debbie Salters officiating at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery with gravesite military honors presented by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Thursday Church or to Faith Built Homes.
