Obituary for Horace M. �Bud� Anderson Horace M. �Bud� Anderson, 93, of Bicknell, passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital at 8:48 AM with his family at his bedside. He was born September 12, 1921 in Knox County the son of Lester and Ila (Pickel) Anderson. He was a 1939 graduate of Wheatland High School and a lifelong resident of Knox County. After graduation, he began his career as a carpenter and served this country in the U.S. Navy SeaBees as a carpenter�s mate having served in the Pacific Theater. Bud returned from the war, and on March 20, 1945 he married Beulah M. Russell and they made their life together for nearly 70 years. He was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, Bicknell Elks, Past Master of the Bicknell Masonic Lodge #429 F&AM, the Edwardsport Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 210. He retired from Niehaus Lumber after over 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Beulah M. Anderson, their children, Connie Bridges of Mishawaka, IN, Judy Wildman of Loogootee, IN, Mary Lou Dodson of Houston, TX and Russell W. Anderson of Edina, MN. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Brown of Trafalgar, IN and Louetta Wyne of Petersburg, IN. He was preceded in death by his son, Lester, his parents and two sisters, Lois Hoffhines and Ina Kauffman. Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 1 :00 PM at the Bicknell United Methodist Church with Pastor Steven Rundel officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Royal Oak Cemetery privately. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at the Bicknell United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM.
