Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Cooper
Patricia “Pat” Cooper, 85, of Vincennes, passed away Friday July 28, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Pat was born February 9, 1932 in Clinton County, IN the daughter of George and Francis Gearheart Reynolds. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and became a beautician. She worked at Hamilton Glass for several years until her retirement. She married Homer Cooper and they made their life together until his death on February 16, 2003. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Shatto, and her husband, Mike of Palmetto, FL, Philip Cooper, and his wife Cindy of Vincennes, and Brenda Scheirmann, and her husband Kevin of Vincennes. her grandchildren, Shane Cooper, and his wife Heather, Alicia Caswell, and her husband Mike, Kevin Kroeger and his wife Anna, Greg Kroeger, and his wife Kerry, Shawn Kroeger, and his wife Nikki, Toni McClellan, Courtney Scheirmann, Brett Scheirmann and Erica Cooper, and her fiancé David Fields. Her great grandchildren, Caroline Kroeger, Ole Kroeger, Josie Kroeger, Olivia Kroeger, Danielle Kroeger, Masyn McClellan, Madysyn McClellan, Maya Fields, Laney Cooper, Taylor Cooper, Ava Cooper and Cooper Caswell. She is also survived by her sister Jane Nelson of Dover, IL and a brother Benny Reynolds, and his wife Linda of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Cooper her son‘s, George Allen Cooper, Gary R. Cooper, her daughter in law, Beth Cooper, step son, Homer Cooper Jr. her parents. A brother, George Reynolds and a sister Shirley Plant.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be conducted Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 7:00 PM with Fr. David Fleck officiating at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Private interment will be held. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Center, Good Samaritan Hospice or the Vincennes Pet Port.
