Obituary for Ruth A. Bahr
Ruth A. (Turner) Bahr, 58, of Vincennes, IN passed away due to a car accident in Alabama on August 31, 2022. Ruth was born September 18, 1963 in Vincennes the daughter of Thomas Turner and Laverne Brown Turner Kent. Ruth was a graduate of Rivet High School and received an A.S. Degree in Gerontology from Vincennes University and she began her career as an activities coordinator in the health care of seniors. She married Thomas Bahr on April 28, 1984 and they made their life together for over 38 years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, K of C Auxiliary and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Thomas Bahr, their children, Ashley M. Bahr and Thomas E. Bahr both of Vincennes. Her beloved grandchildren, Hunter McCoy, Audrey Bahr and Tucker Bahr. She is also survived by her sisters, Glenda Turner and Debbie Barmes and her brother, Thomas Turner all of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Turner and Laverne Brown Turner Kent, her stepfather, Gary Kent and her sister Joann Snyder.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday September 9, 2022 with Fr. Garrett officiating at St. John Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in the Mt Calvary Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Thursday September 8, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Duesterberg Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Activities Department at Willow Manor Nursing Home. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Ruth’s family during their time of loss.
