Obituary for Rick E. Twitty
Rick E. Twitty, 66, of Vincennes, IN, left to be with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer on October 24, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Rick was born August 26, 1956 in Vincennes, the son of Junior and Rosie Hefty Twitty. He was a 1974 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Vincennes University. He retired from Toyota Princeton as a Quality Control inspector. Rick married Jamie Hess on May 18, 1996 and they made their life together for over 27 years. He was a member of Bunker Hill Baptist Church and formerly was a member of the Vincennes Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was thrilled when his son, Evan Twitty was traveling to various music events and he helped him as his “Roadie”. Rick was a truly kind, respectful and a gentleman to everyone he met.
Rick is survived by his wife, Jamie Twitty, his sister, Linda (Scott) Gognat, of Bruceville, IN. and a special niece, Glenna Brookheart of Sahuarita, AZ
He was preceded in death by his son, Evan Twitty, his parents, a sister, Jacqulin Brookheart, his mother and father in law, Edna and James Hess and a brother in law, Gary Hess.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday October 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday October 27, 2022 at the funeral home. Rick will be laid to rest in St. Vincent Cemetery next to his son. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Bunker Hill Baptist Church of the Vincennes Pet Port.
