Victor Glenn Young, Jr. peacefully passed away Aug. 8, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Ind. Glenn was born in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 17, 1953. He was the son of Victor and Della Young. He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years and was in the top 10% of his class. He made furniture for several years at Kimball International. Afterwards, he went to Vincennes University where he made the Dean's List and earned an associate's degree in General Education. He then worked as a page for many years at the Jasper Public Library. He enjoyed reading, computer games, discussing C-SPAN, Budweiser and visiting friends and family, especially his grandkids in which one gave him the nickname "GoGo."
He is survived by three daughters, Jessica Lampert of Shoals, Ind., Amanda Young of Vincennes, Ind., and Nancy McCormick of Greenville, Ind.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, David, Leonard, and Chris Young; and a sister, Charlotte Young.
