Obituary for Elva L. Manning
Elva L. Manning, 72, of Vincennes, passed away July 9, 2019 at 4:25 AM at her residence with her family at her bedside. Elva was born April 16, 1947 in Vincennes the daughter of Merle and Joanne Haaff Luenebrink. Elva was a graduate of Lincoln High School and she retired as a sales assistant for K-Mart after 39 years. She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, she was active in the Lower Johnson Home Ec. Club and various civic organizations. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Elva is survived by her children, Paula Murray, and her husband Tim of Robinson, IL, Paul Manning Jr., and his wife Lisa of Martinsville, IN and Pam Brunson, and her husband Stephen of Vincennes, IN. Her grandchildren, Robert Martin (Cathy), Jonathon Bailey (Codi), Nick Martin (Breanne), Brooke Murray, Zach Murray (Kelly), Nathan Manning, Marky Gregory, Alexandra Curtis (JP), Mackenzie Manning-Steckler, Tanner Brunson, Holly Hall (Nathan) and 4 great grandchildren and was expecting her 5th in September. She is also survived by her sisters, Aline Luenebrink of Vincennes, Jackie Grayam, and her husband David of Indianapolis, IN, Gladys Pemberton, and her husband Clifford of Sanborn, IN, Susie Barstow of Sebastian, FL, a sister in law, Carol Luenebrink and a special friend that she thought of as a sister, Debbie Grubb, and her husband Bob of Vincennes, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Earl, Burl and Henry Luenebrink, a sister Ruth Pauline Luenebrink and a brother in law, Bruce Barstow.
Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday July 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Rasico officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Lower Johnson Home Ec Club % Sharon Ellerman, 39115 S. Decker Road, Vincennes, IN or the Friends of Special Athletes % Charla Patton, 720 W. 4th St., Bicknell, IN 47512.
