Obituary for Paul Edward Tiek Paul Edward Tiek, 91, formerly of Bicknell, IN, passed away Friday January 26, 2018 in Ellisville, MO. Paul was born May 8, 1926 in Bicknell the son of Walter C. and Helen Deppe Tiek. He was a graduate of Bicknell High School and served the country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Billie Deborah Hawkins on March 9, 1952, and they made their life together for 65 years. Paul was a retired Postal Mail Carrier for 37 years. He was a former member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church. Paul is survived by his wife, Billie D. Tiek of Ellisville, MO, their children, Chris Tiek of Bicknell, IN, Dale Tiek, and his wife Jane of Oaktown, IN and Vicki Echele, and her husband Denis of Ellisville, MO. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Collin Tiek, and his wife Amy, Andrew Echele and Adam Echele. His great grandchildren, Brennen Tiek and Addie Mae Tiek. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter "Bud" Tiek, Robert Tiek and Richard Tiek and his sister, Miriam Speelman. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday January 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Church in Freelandville, IN with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. Paul will be laid to rest in the Bethel Church Cemetery where military gravesite honors will be conducted by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends Monday January 29, 2018 at the Bethel Church from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Nurses on a Mission, Carpenters on a Mission, Bethel Church, St. Louis Family Church at slfc.org/give, or to the American Legion.
