Obituary for Pauline S �Sally� Ring Pauline S. �Sally� Ring, 85, formerly of Bicknell, IN passed away Monday evening at 7:35 PM at the Good Samaritan Hospital with her family at her bedside. She was born May 19, 1929 in Knox County the daughter of Louis Sr and Dovie Hill Smith. She was a graduate of Bruceville H.S and Beauty College. She owned and operated Sally�s Beauty Shop in Bicknell all her working career. She married Harley W. Ring on May 11, 1947 and they made their life together until his death on March 9, 2007. She was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church and Delta Theta Tau. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Hulsey of Winder, GA and Sheryl Ring Laakman of Lawrenceville, IL. Her grandchildren, Scott Laakman, and his wife Amy, Corrine Smith, and her husband Chris and Nickolas Ring. Her great grandchildren, Chloe Hayes, Madison Smith, Madilynn Laakman, Faith Smith, Colin Lane and Brooklin Lane. Her daughter in law, Sarah Ring of Bainbridge, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Gary Ring, a great grandchild, Wyatt Laakman, her parents and a brother Lewis �Dick� Smith. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell with Pastor Jon McKinnon officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home in Bicknell. Memorial Contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice. Interment will be conducted at a later date.
