Obituary for Raymond K. "Arkie" Sager

Raymond K. "Arkie" Sager, 90, of Vincennes, IN passed away Thursday June 1, 2023 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Ray was born March 23, 1933 in Bicknell, IN the son of Virgil and Ruth Spencer Sager. He was a graduate of Bicknell High School. He served this country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked as a switchman for the C&EI/Union Pacific railroad as a switchman. He was a member of the Methodist faith. He married Sandra Sue Wininger on May 12, 1957 and they made their life together for over 42 years until her death on August 30, 1999.

Arkie is survived by his children, Elaine Tegtmeyer and Jerry Sager of Crete, IL. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son David Sager, 2 sisters Sherry Bright and Mary "Nickie" Stokesberry.

A Celebration of his Life will be held in Crete, IL at a later date.
