Richard Neal Reitmeyer, 69, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Friday May 1, 2026 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis; IN. Richard was born February 25, 1957 in Detroit, MI the son of William and Betty Reitmeyer. He was an electrical technician and was a skilled electric motor mechanic. He attended the Lutheran Church and lived the faith in his daily life.

He is survived by a son, Chad Reitmeyer, his granddaughters, Kayla and Amber, a great grandson, Nolan, and his brother, Randal (Judy) Reitmeyer.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Reitmeyer, and a son Ricky Reitmeyer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Rastl officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
