Robert Joe Horton Robert Joe Horton, 51, of Wheatland, IN, passed away November 3, 2022 at 6:32 PM as a result of an auto accident. He was born October 31, 1971 in Vincennes, IN the son of Owen Horton and Pamela Manning Palagi. He was a graduate of  South Knox High School and, Vincennes University having attained his Associate of Science degree in Laser Optics. He was Signal Tech Supervisor for Indiana Dept. of Transportation for over 23 years. He married Tiffany Salter on June 19, 1994 and they made their life together for 28 years. He was a Christian and was very active in Geocaching a type of global treasure hunt, where he was the number 1 hider in Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, his family and his Newfoundland dog, Marduk.

Robert is survived by his wife, Tiffany Horton, daughters, Julia Horton of Taylorville, IL, Savannah Horton of Wheatland, IN and Leo Sulinas and her husband Jay of New Port News, VA. Grandchildren, Luca Horton, Grayson Horton and Leona Horton. He is also survived by his father, Owen Horton and his wife Janice of Wheatland, IN and his mother, Pamela Palagi and her husband Jeff of Monroe City, IN. also a brother Mark Horton of Wheatland, IN and a sister Amanda Horton Siewers and her husband Jerod of Wheatland, IN. His nieces, Avagail Horton, Layla Siewers, Madeline Siewers, nephews Isaac Horton and Blake Salter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 10, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Rev. Trevor Murray officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of Services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
