Obituary for Robert �Bob� Jones Robert �Bob� Jones, 80, of Freelandville, IN, passed away Tuesday May 19, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born June 28, 1934 in Bicknell, IN the son of John and Elizabeth Shanks Jones. He served his country during the Korean War having served in the U.S. Air Force and worked various jobs having retired as a painting contractor. He married Elvera Baden on December 23, 1968 and they made their life together for nearly 47 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, 40 et 8, Moose and the French Club in Bicknell, IN. He is survived by his wife, Elvera Jones of Freelandville, children, Robert E. Jones of Lincoln, Nebraska, Cindy Owens of Glendale, AZ, Patricia Tatro of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Robert Speiser of Freelandville, IN and Randy Speiser of Star Valley, AZ. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, a brother, Tom Jones of Vincennes, IN and a sister, Robina Johnson of Vincennes, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and a sister A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday May 23, 2015 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Kenny Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 till the time of services. Arrangements were entrusted to Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
