Obituary for Thelma J. Kamp Thelma J. Kamp, 89, of Vincennes, passed away Sunday evening at her residence with her family at her bedside. She was born June 20, 1926 in Mt. Carmel, IL the daughter of Edgar and Anna Marie Smith White. She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and on May 12, 1948 she married Robert L. Kamp, and they made their life together for nearly 61 years until his death on Feb 22, 2009. She formerly worked as a cook and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Jean Marie Cummings of Edwardsport, IN, Robert W. Kamp of Vincennes, IN and Bonnie Sue Frye of Vincennes. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandchild, her parents, a brother and two sisters. Gravesite services will be conducted Friday June 17, 2016 at Bethel Cemetery in Bellmont, IL at 1:00 PM EDT/ 12:00 PM CDT with Pastor Faye Bilskie officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
