Obit for Wanda Marie Loudermilk von der Lieth

November 4, 1946 – August 19, 2025

Wanda Marie Loudermilk von der Lieth passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1946, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph Burton Loudermilk and Clara Maxine Cummins Loudermilk.

A 1964 graduate of Lawrenceville High School, Wanda was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Juanita Adkins, Tom Loudermilk, and Stella Vennard. She is survived by her sister, Helen Finke, and her children: Joseph Quentin von der Lieth and his wife Jane, Linda Osborne and husband Jim, Lisa Reitmeyer and husband Dan, and Kim Bivens and husband John. Wanda was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and great-grandmother to four.

On February 12, 1977, in Knox County, Indiana, Wanda married the love of her life, Dr. William C. von der Lieth. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and travel. Wanda was passionate about her family, her community, and her many volunteer efforts. She had a deep curiosity about the world and loved engaging in meaningful conversations about current events. Wanda's spirit of generosity and her vibrant presence touched the lives of all who knew her.
